More fun stuff....

Another great visit to Denver to see Cari and Aric! We ate at fun restaurants, tried new recipes, had delicious ice cream, found an amazing fabric store, designed and made pillows and just had a super duper time! Thanks guys for the warm hospitality, and thanks to Finley and Kaia for keeping me company in my room!

Denver Fabric Store is gigantic and WONDERFUL! It was very much Christmas morning for us when we walked in!

I ate more ice cream on this trip than I have had all year and it was SO GOOD! People, indulge yourself in ice cream - your day will get automatically better! We were able to walk to this cute little shop close to Cari's house so we I guess we could say we walked off the calories on the way back!

We like to do silly stuff when we (B, Cari and I) get together - like take copious amounts of photos with the dogs! By their looks you think they've had their picture taken a time or two? HA!

Another year passes

I am getting good at posting once a year! HA! No, really I should be better but I think I like reading other people's blogs better than adding to my own. Oh well...

Summer Reflections

Okay I realize I have been completely out of touch for the last few months - there is no excuse other than I am not real great at posting thus have just blown it off as of late. So let's play a little catch up shall we?

Summer 2010 has been busy, fun and HOT! This heat has got to stop - and weathermen please don't tell me the "heat index" - I know how hot I am going to feel and it doesn't matter if it's 103 or 108 - trust me on this.

Anyhoo - we've had family visits, weddings, a lovely visit to Palm Springs and Denver plus my 35th (wow!) high school reunion. Plus nice evenings watching the 50 or so hummingbirds we have in the back yard and helping Tom try out his new cocktail book.

First of all, Cari and Aric came home for good friend Kendall Beller and Blake Porters' wedding - lots of fun was had for sure. Here's our Kappa group pic with bride and groom!
The annual Palm Springs trip took place in May and was a wonderful time as always! Here we are about to board our jet to begin fun in the sun with my girls. Don't you think the tallest pilot looks like Jim from the office? Too bad Michael wasn't along ha ha.

I was lucky enough to be routed to Denver on the way home so I was able to spend a few extra days with Cari Marie! Marcie (far right, green top) was with me on the flight so she joined us for a little happy hour at The Med in Boulder. Fun fun fun....

I was fortunate to get another visit in with Cari and Aric in July. Tons of fun cooking, gardening, shopping for items for the new house and of course a run through Lakeside Amusement Park! I think everyone at some point should be required to take a spin on a tilt-a-whirl ride! And this time I let Aric and Mykah talk me into riding the TOWER - bad decision, although I lived through it. My stomach is still somewhere on Sheridan street!

Latest happenings!

Well I have been SO busy lately I haven't been able to POST! But I am now back and hoping to keep up a little better. Summer 2009 has been quite fun-filled with more stuff to come!

School is back at OU and with that energy comes wild parking and lines at the Pita Pit but what they hey? It's all good. With that in mind, it's only 12 days till the first OU football game and I cannot WAIT! BOOMER SOONER! I want to beat everyone by 200 points, win another Heisman (go Sam!) and win a National Championship - is that too much to ask? Oh, and maybe another shot at those Gators - wouldn't mind that at all!
